During a recent visit to NAS Pensacola, unfamiliar with the area, I consulted Yelp for breakfast recommendations. Based on its 4.5-star rating, we chose the Red Slipper. I went for the candy bacon first Oh my god, it was amazing! Brunch was good. Shrimp & grits, French toast bites, eggs benny (scrambled eggs) w chicken, veggie omelet. Hopped on the waitlist before arrival, so seating didn't take long. It was a full house
I think I need another plate just to be sure if it was good or not lol This was the southern breakfast with the fried chicken. We also had the French roast bites with the candid bacon which was awesome!!!! The Lavender Paloma was great too
We decided to give this place a try after reading great reviews for a while now. The candied bacon appetizer was off the hook; yum! According to my wife the special Benedict she ordered was "Very good!" My hot honey chicken biscuit was good, too. The decor is spot on and carries out the ruby slipper theme quite well. Service was also very good. Overall I think it's safe to say we'll be back.
We came here for brunch on a Monday and had a great time! The server was super fun and knowledgeable and we loved it. The food and drinks were all really good. I loved the fried green tomato blt! I will be back to have that again. They have amazing bloody Mary's and just about anything else you could imagine. They get super busy! Make sure to add yourself to the waitlist when you're driving over so you won't feel like you're waiting as long. Parking is on the street and wasn't too bad when we were there.
